The Polk County Emergency Operations Center acts as the primary emergency command and control center for the county’s government, as well as a facility used for emergency planning and training. The 11,694 square foot facility was designed with state of the art, highly integrated audiovisual and control systems.
LMG implemented a large 30’x 6’ edgeless Dalite projection screen with three Panasonic DW6300 DLP projectors in the main room, which can be used for monitoring the location of all city and county emergency vehicles, video teleconferencing, internet, and graphics, and can display one full image or simultaneous images. Supplementing the main display, LMG provided and integrated four 55” LG LED monitors, which can display live video from traffic cameras throughout the county. The video and audio systems are controlled by an LMG-programmed Crestron PRO2 dual control system and touchpanel.
LMG also provided innovative video, audio and control systems for several other rooms within the facility, including a media room, executive conference room/library, break room, supervisor’s office, and four breakout rooms.
